Packing Guide
Proper packing prevents transit damage. Follow these guidelines for safe shipping.
Place the drive in an anti-static bag. If you don't have one, wrap in paper (not plastic bubble wrap directly).
Surround with at least 5cm of padding on all sides. Crumpled paper or foam works well.
Use a sturdy box that won't crush. If reusing a box, remove old labels to avoid confusion.
Put a note inside with your name, email, phone, and a brief description of the issue.
Never include power cables or accessories unless specifically requested. Laptops should be shipped complete; for external drives, just the drive unit is needed. If your drive is clicking or making unusual noises, do not power it on again before shipping.
After Recovery
Your data is secure with us, and your device will be returned safely.
We keep your recovered data securely for 14 days after delivery. This gives you time to verify everything is present and working.
After the retention period (or on your request), all data is securely wiped from our systems using certified methods.
Your original device is returned tracked and insured. If it's a complete loss, we'll discuss disposal options with you.
